Thirteen Online: Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy explains what information Thirteen Online(on Google Play, "Thirteen: Online Card Game"; "the game") collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. The game is made by Urban Rigor LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we", "us"), 16708 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133, United States.

The short version: the game doesn't ask for your real name, email address, contacts, location, photos or anything like them. To play online it gives you an anonymous player ID and a made-up player name, and it keeps the results of public games on the leaderboards. If you send us feedback, we receive what you write and some details about your device. We don't show ads, we don't sell your information, and we don't use it to track you across other apps or websites.

What the game collects

Stored only on your device. Your settings (such as the card back, text size, sound and the bots' Judgment Level), your house rules, your player name and icon, and, while you're in an online game, the details needed to rejoin it if your connection drops. These stay on your phone and are never sent to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android's settings, removes them.

When you play online(public games, private games, the leaderboards, or checking whether a player name is taken), the game uses Unity Gaming Services, run by Unity Technologies, to connect players and store results:

  • An anonymous player ID. The first time you go online, Unity creates a random ID for your copy of the game. It isn't linked to your Google account, phone number or email address. It lets the game recognise your player name and your results.
  • Your player name and icon. Player names are two words chosen from the game's own lists (for example "Lucky Tiger"), never free text, so they can't contain your real name. Each name belongs to one player at a time. Your name, and your animal icon if you have the Upgrade, are shown to the other players in your games and on the public leaderboards.
  • Public game results. When a public game ends, your place in it, the points and wins it earns, and how many public games you've played in that variant are recorded on the leaderboards, which anyone playing the game can view.
  • Game play. During an online game, your moves and emotes are sent to the other players' devices through Unity's servers, so that everyone sees the same game. They aren't kept after the game. There's no chat.
  • Technical information. Like any online service, Unity's servers receive your device's IP address when the game connects, and Unity may work out your approximate location from it (your country or region, never your precise location). Unity uses this to run the connection, to measure how its services perform, and as described in its own privacy policy. The game itself never uses your location.

When you send feedback(Submit Feedback, or Report Problem at the table), we receive what you type, your player name and player ID, the app version, your phone's model and operating system version, and, from the table, the variant, the kind of game and the deal's number, so we can find the problem. Please don't include personal information in what you type.

Crashes and performance. The game is built with Unity, which may collect limited information about crashes and the game's performance on your device (such as the device model, operating system and how the game ran) to help us and Unity fix problems.

Purchases. The Upgrade is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment: we never see your card or payment details, only confirmation from Google that the Upgrade was bought, so the game can unlock it.

How we use it

Only to run the game: to connect you with other players, keep player names unique, keep the leaderboards, unlock the Upgrade, read and act on your feedback, and fix problems. We don't use it for advertising and we don't build profiles of players.

Who it's shared with

  • Other players see your player name, icon, moves and emotes in the games you play, and your name, icon and results on the public leaderboards.
  • Unity Technologies stores and processes the online information above for us, as our service provider, under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Google processes your purchase of the Upgrade, under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the game and its players from abuse, we may disclose information to the authorities.

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long it's kept

Player names and leaderboard results are kept while the game's online features run, or until you ask us to delete them. A player name you change is released for others to use, and the results recorded under it are deleted. Feedback is kept for as long as it's useful to improve the game, and no longer than two years. Information stored on your device stays until you clear the game's data or uninstall it.

Your choices

  • Play offline. Local Match against the bots works without going online, and sends nothing.
  • Delete your online information. Email us (below) with your player name, and we'll delete your player name, its leaderboard results and the feedback you sent. Because your ID is anonymous, we may ask you to confirm from the game that the name is yours.
  • Ask what we hold. You can ask us for a copy of the information linked to your player name, or to correct it.

Depending on where you live (for example in California, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have further rights under your local law. Contact us to use them; you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Player names come only from the game's word lists, and there's no chat. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example in feedback), contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Information is sent between the game and Unity's servers over encrypted connections, and only Urban Rigor LLC can read the feedback and player records. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to the minimum the game needs.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts collecting something new or using information differently, we'll update this policy and its date above before the change reaches players.
